ST VLAS and the MARINA are an UP-MARKET area, TRIUMPH VILLAGE is the best or close to it, many people take video or pictures of it each day through the summer, UP-MARKET shops at the MARINA, lovely village, water taxi to NESSEBER. GREAT PLACE

Bulgaria is a great place for families! For several years, had planned the whole family to go on holiday abroad, but for different reasons, all did not work! This year, finally, this event has happened! Opted for Bulgaria, region Sveti Vlas! Originally wanted a quiet, relaxing and not very expensive holiday! And it has paid off! Rested from June 14 to July 5, great weather, air temperature 30, water + 23 degrees! "The sea is very clean, sandy beach, too clean! Vlas is a picturesque place, at the foot of the mountain, so the air is very fresh and the heat is not so hard! Mostly resting Europeans (Poles, Romanians, Bulgarians). Many rent apartment for long term (1-2 months). Bulgarians are very friendly, unobtrusive, and understand their language is not so hard! On the tour to go there was no particular desire to once traveled alone in Nessebar, a city-museum under the open sky! Advise to travel to Bulgaria itself, the distances between towns are small, you can quickly get on the bus and taxi. Meals in Bulgaria not particularly impressed, monotonous, not very tasty, portions are small.Cook mostly for yourself in the apartments have a kitchenette, equipped with all necessary facilities (equipment and utensils), products purchased in store or on the market (they are on every step), all very fresh, inexpensive! However, choice of meat is not so big, mostly chickens and delicious dairy products! In general holidays in Bulgaria, we are very relaxed: If you want a relaxing, comfortable family vacation, I advise you to Bulgaria, Sveti Vlas!

We loved St Vlas so much we bought an apartment right on the beach. Wonderful! All the local restaurants are very good but I must mention the Miami where the food is absolutely fantastic and the welcome very warm and friendly. A quieter resort than Sunny Beach but close enough if you want the nightlife without being bothered by the noise. We have stayed in Sunny Beach but did find it noisy which isn't good if you have children.

Are going back to S Vlas for the 6th time in 3 years in some weeks. Call that little town my "second home". Never been so well taken care of and met by so much hospitality as in "My" little Hotel "Rubin". A familiar atmosphere and the best food in the area cooked by "Maestro Rocco"
The last 2 years i brought both friends and family with me. And they all feel the same as i do...
We love it and its our "Second Home"...*s*
Even my teenage boys and their girlfriends love it...close to Sunny Beach for the Discos and Bars just a few minutes by taxi or bus...
And quiet in the night to come home to after a night on the town...
    Recomend it highly...

I was there this summer. I really like it:small village without traffic is the best rest for citizen of big city. Also very like good location: not far from Sunny Beach with great amount of DiskoClubs!! We were at Mistral II, but were living in hotel EDEN. Only good impressions!!!

Going back for the 2nd time this year. St. Vlas is in my opinnion much nicer than Sunny Beach and ideal for families and those who prefer a quieter holiday. The restraunts are fantastic with food to die for and they are so cheap! The scenery and beach are fabulous and the Bulgarian people are so warm and friendly. We are staying at Vega Village this year which visited while we were there last year and thought this is where we're coming next year! Last year we stayed at the Laguna hotel but the food is so good and cheap in the restaurants it is such a waste eating in the same place every day.

St vlas is a little quiet for children-little to do at this hotel too! we would of been better of staying right in sunny beach although we caught the bus or taxis to get around.
A lot of building work spoils the areas brtween St.Vlas and Sunny beach but it doesn't really bother us too much. Sunny beach-however absolutly great. we stayed for 7 nights and visited sunny beach about 5 minutes away about 6 times. Beach is great good range of food places including MCdonalds for the children! ice cream is very cheap the shops + market stores open til late when its cooler to look around.
Nessebur nice too for a change.
beggers get slightly annoying-so ignore them and walk on they'll soon get bored. would go again but more in, as ive said before where the entertainment is-maybe Neptun beach or Chaika!
if your going there have fun xx

    About our dining in Vlas,
though it`s already a few years ago, our thoughts are a lot in st Vlas, were we had the best meals of our lives during a ten day period in 2000.
At our arrival in St Vlas we fortunately ended up at Hotel Night Breeze, when you are on the street, it does n`t look spectacular, but, when you are inside, and you have had your first meal you are SOLD !!!
we were planning to discover the local kitchen in st Vlas, so, visit different sites, eat everywere, and dicide which one will be best....
we never ate somewhere else, even my mother can`t cook like them.

I returned last week from a week at the Sunrise Club which is situated in front of the Zora Villas at the North end of Sunny Beach.  The Hotel had only opened the day before we arrived.  This was my forst trip to Bulgaria and I had heard different reports from different people.  I was very pleasantly surprised at the standard of our accomodation.  It was excellent and although this is a Hotel it had much more of an 'Apartment' feel to it.  The staff could not have been more helpful and were always very pleasant. They treated everyone as if our comfort  and happiness was really important to them.  The food in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced.  The Hotel is situated just across the road from the beach with a very good restaurant, with floorshow, situated  inbetween.  the beach is quiet and has plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available.  Another plus point is the 'mini train' which runs regularly from the centre of Sunny Beach (Kuban Hotel) to Sunrise Club - it then turns and goes back again. 50p.  Taxis are plentiful and cheap.
A trip to Nesebur costs arounf £3 each way and is well worth visiting.
I will certainly return to Bulgaria and most likely to the sunrise Club.
Congratulations to everyone involved in setting up and running the Hotel for it's first week of business.
