We stayed at the Hotel Perla in August 2004 and found it to be excellent. Our room was big with our own balcony. The buffet style breakfasts had plenty of choice and it was within easy walking distance of all the bars, shops and restruants. Do'nt do as we did and get a taxi as you soon learn all the short cuts when you start to walk about.

Just read 2 comments on the Perla. I have visited many times and have yet to be offended by the prostitutes. It,s a fact of life in the resort as its a fact of life throughout the world. And in my experience there were plenty of other nationalities using their services and not just Germans.
As for one comment that "there were not enough English there" well that for me and my family is one of the major benefits of Bulgaria in general. The Perla offers a first class service and the Bulgarian people are honest, trustworthy and a joy to go back to each year.

Always great. Easy to access from road, safe parking, clean, comfortable, great wiew, v. good service. CLEAN Pool. Always pleasant attendants and staff. I'll always come here and only here. And I will come soon. With all of this, you can forgive the poor (but not bad) english. And is at a safe distance from noisy clubs and outdoors DISCO's. Not too far if you wanna go there, but enough if you want to take a rest. It's good to be there.

Accomodation & Staff could not be faulted. What could be faulted was the groups of German men, sometimes numbering up to 30, who were in the hotel at the end of the summer season for the procurement of prostitutes. Never ever will my wife and I visit Bulgaria again. We were there from 5/9/2003 until 19/9/2003 and could not wait to get home along with most other British visitors.
