Hotel in Nessebar, Bulgaria
First sight is not too good. A bit worn and tatty, might even cause you to want to go straight home when you arrive at 3.30 a.m. However, when you get used to the basic but clean room, it's not too bad. Maid service very good - bin emptied, bathroom checked every day, towels changed every second day, bed linen changed at end of week. Pool area excellent, could not want for more. Buffet breakfast provided huge selection - cooked (not too hot as is the Bulgarian custom), cereals, fruit, bread, rolls - something to suit everyone. If you can put up with a basic, not too smart room, then this should suit you. Otherwise, look for 3 star. Helpful, pleasant staff. Money changing facility in hotel.
hotel hawaii very poor from outside, reception area nice, family rooms are stunning bt twin rooms are terrible, hard beds and the toilets were one small box room with the shower just hung on the wall and the whole bathroom getting soaked in the process, also cold showers. The pool and bar area are lovely. The food was generally rubbish unless you get up early for breakfast! In our experience all of the staff were extremely rude and in one case very violent towards children. But apart from all that nessebur was a great place to stay and i would go back again!
Pool area very nice. Reception area quite good, rooms very basic. Our bathroom was not cleaned for 2 weeks (except the bin being emptied), we were on a high floor and our balcony was not usable for sitting out on. Food was basic but ok. Staff are friendly. Ignore the surrounding areas and spend your time in Old Nessebar as it is much more interesting (if you ignore the numerous tourist tat shops.) Would recommend you visit Bulgaria soon before it becomes too touristy.
VERY basic hotel. Generally clean. Food not too good. Excellent pool. And MOST of the staff are friendly, except the woman who runs the restaurant. Generally a good hotel. ENJOY
Hotel listed as *** should not be listed at all. Corn beetles 1-2 inches long every-where. It is a real culture shock. Basically clean, but falling apart. Lots of people had things stolen from their rooms, cell phones, watches etc. (Things you normally don't put in safety deposit box). The beds in all rooms are a wooden frame, and our beds where rotting away - bits falling off daily. Staff friendly enough, pool area nice, but that is it. Money changed in hotel but price a little lower than other hotels. Hairdresser, shop, and doctor on site. If you get put in the hawaii 11 next door, you willl luck out, they have TV, fridge, and AC. Would not recommend this hotel at all, truly you need to pay for upgrade, before you go. If you ask for upgrade after arrival, you will have to pay big time. Location is fine for old Nessebar and Sunny beach.
