John Watkins/Raymond Lever | 1 out of 1 found this review helpful We stayed at this magnificent small hotel for 2 weeks in May 2002, and what a fantastic time we had. Everywhere in the hotel was spanking clean. The staff from Management down to Bell Boys were so receptive, helpful and friendly.. they just could not do enough for us. The presentation of food was absolutely stunning, and we simply had to take photographs of it, before commencing to eat. The Hotel Chef "MAMMA", certainly knew how to cook, and every meal we had there was absolutely delicious! In addtion we got to know every member of staff by first names, and we still remember them all. [NASKO, ELIAT,STANIMERE,ALEX,DITO,MOMMO,KIROV,VALEOU, ANNA,CHES,MARIA,TONI,KATIA.ZLATKA,AND MAMMA] What a fantastic team ([+]view more) they were. Our Balkan Holiday Rep MIRELLA, who paid us regular visits, ensured that we had the best holiday that could be provided anyone, anywhere. You get fantastic value and service for your money at Hotel Gardia, and We believe that nobody would ever be sorry for making a booking at this hotel. Well done Hotel Gardia. Keep up the excellent standards. You are very worthy of praise, and we rate you as "FIRST CLASS HOSTS" in Bulgaria. Goodbye for now and may God Bless you for all future holiday seasons. Staff were very friendly, very polite, nothing was too much trouble. Hotel was brilliant, clean and very comfortable. Anyone wanting to visit Bulgaria should stay at this hotel. Hotel was small, which we liked, the only negative was the pool which was quite small. But saying that we had the pool to ourselves two days out of the fortnight. The hotel is quite a distance from Golden Sands but the hotel does run a bus during the day.Taxis to Golden Sands were £4.00. I would highly recommend this hotel. Was this review helpful to you? Ski lift system operates directly behind the hotel for those who don't want to walk down to the beach. Brillian Classic Restaurant nearby. Didn't want to come home. Will definately go Back!!
