Climate overview
Bulgarian Black Sea coast enjoys a mild and pleasant climate. Rainfall is low, heavy falls of snow and fogs extremely rare.
The climate on the Northern Bulgarian coast is moderate continental, while the climate on the Southern Bulgarian coast is intermediate continental tending to Mediterranean.
You can enjoy four lovely and tender seasons on the Bulgarian coast: Beautiful blooming Spring, dry and hot Summer - the season for swimming, long and pleasant Autumn with the multi-coloured forests add to the picturesque landscape and mild Winter.
Due to the big Balkan range which divides Bulgaria into two almost equal parts - North and South Bulgaria and stops the clod North winds to flow to the South, the climate on the South part of the coast is more warm and without winds and there is always several grads difference between the two parts.
The average temperature in Varna in January is 1-6 °C and in July - 19-30 °C.
Since the humidity is high on the coast, particularly the heat is not felt.
Gentle sea breezes blowing from the sea, can not get burnt even on the hottest day. True, the sand heats up as a frying pan, and it can not go without shoes. June in the Black Sea region is perhaps the wettest month of the year. Sea water is warm enough until the end of September.
However, the most daring can take a dip in the Black Sea in May and October.
The climate is exceptionally favorable for growing vines, fruits and vegetables.
