Nice pool-area, cozy pool-bar, polite service-people, breakfast could have been better, watch out for the juice made of tap water...to the loo...
The view form the balcony´s has a lot more to wish.
The closest sea-area in walking distance for about 5-10 minutes, but they charge you too much for a sunbed. The water in late July was full of innocent bug´s though (2004), 2005 it was clear as a fesh water bottle.
Surroundings quite ok, several bars, shops etc. it´s a little mini-town compared to the central market place.
Acceptable mix of nationalities, but watch out for the britt´s...heavy on the bars. Scandinavians come second.
Could be too loud for families if you prefer the more noiseless vaccation, but most families blend even if bars are open late. There is a train to jump on heading for the central market place if kids are too young to walk the distance which perhaps is to far for the youngsters.
It´s cheap,
...but don´t forget to enjoy the delicious pancake´s - the world greatest made by the one and only pancake-man always wearing a sporty-T-shirt and behaving very timid and polite.
Enjoy your stay but don´t take no for an answer, thing´s can always become better even if your a foreigner visiting Bulgaria. |

Absolutely our best vacation. Everybodys in the poolbar has the most excellent service. We spend most of our vacation in the poolbar, ´cause its wasnt needed to go somewhere else.

absolutly the greaest hotel service i `ve ever experienced. i want to give my best wishes to Bobby, Stan, Dinko, Angel, Ivo, Nicko + all the other ones that provided such great service at the hotel Yantra, i really wish you the best luck in the future and i hope to see you all in the near coming future.

| I just returned from ten days at Hotel Yantra. It is a nice, comfortable hotel with a good swimming pool. The view from the upper balconies is excellent. Cable TV and air conditioning are nice features. However, the breakfast buffet is terrible. They make the same food every day, and they cut costs by using powdered milk, instant coffee, watered down jogurt and jam, etc. The limited supply of fresh fruit was usually not edible. We and other guests began bringing our own food to breakfast near the end of our stay. Another downside is that the shadow from a nearby hotel puts the Yantra pool and sunbathing area in the shade by about 4:30 every afternoon. The water was too cold for swimming when the pool was shaded. Also, be careful if you plan to exchange your Bulgarian money back to your local currency at the end of your stay. The hotel will not buy back the Leva currency that it sells to you. |

After staying at the Polyusi in 2002, we stayed at the Yantra in 2004, and I must say I am happy I did.
The Polyusi isn't bad, not at all, they have a arcade and a pinnball machine, and the best drink off all. The "Whiskey gobler". I mean Yantra has the best poolbar off all and the Gibson's girl gobler is very nice, but not the same. So Yantra has a great pool, great mix of nationalities, and great shops and restaurants in the eara. More fun for the youngsters...
