Location/General information:
• Hotel PrimaSol Sunrise is surrounded by trees, only 300 metres from the beach and the centre of Golden Sands. • The modern comfortable accommodation as well as the friendly atmosphere make these hotels an ideal choice for families and couples. • There are 3 outdoor pools, a jacuzzi and an indoor pool. • The animation team organises diverse activities for adults as well as children, including sports games, contests or dancing. • There is a PrimaKids Club for the little ones and you can play tennis, volleyball or soccer. Water aerobics, darts, billiards and other activities are possible at the PrimaSol Sunrise.

On our arrival at the Sunrise Hotel, Golden Sands, Bulgaria , the reception and lobby bar looked smart. On entry to our room, there were only two beds, we booked for 3 beds.The porter came along and when told about this, he got us a camp bed from the housekeeping, for our son.
The housekeeping put the bed up, but had to move the bed side cabinet form one side, and move the other 2 beds up closer to the dressing table/fridge cupboard ( which was falling apart), We ended up stacking the bedsiade table on top of the other to save as much space as possible, as there was not enough room to walk round, and no where to store our luggage.
The bathroom was the tiniest I have ever used, measuring just 4 feet x 5 feet (approx)
this incorporated a shower, toilet and wash basin, you could use the toilet and shower at the same time, the water drained away slowly down a hole in the floor, as you can see in the enclosed pictures.
There wasn't enough space in the wardrobe for all of our clothes, but then again, it wasn't a room for 3 people was it?
We had to leave clothing in our cases, and leave our cases any where we could find space.
We had to move our cases from the ends of our beds, just to get through to use the balcony, which again was just big enough for 2 chairs, not 3.
we asked if there were any bigger rooms, but were told that all the rooms were the same.
The carpeting in the corridors were disgusting, they were filthy and stained and there was an awfull smell of cat pee. This might of been the smell of wet plaster.
As we were on a steepish hill, we were told there was a shuttle bus from the hotel, to the beach, but we didn't see it. After enquiring about the bus, we were told it had a technical fault.
The decking around the pool seemed to be collapsing, and underneath it was a load of rubble holding it up( see pictures)
The hotel staff were pleasnt enough, but sometimes we had difficulty in communicating, as their English wasn't as good as their German, as it is a hotel the caters solely for German holiday makers.
One last point, from our balcony, we could see the hotel that we booked to stay in, Paradise Green Park Hotel. it was no where near finished, it was just a concrete framework ,so why did BALKAN HOLIDAYS leave it right up to 4 weeks till departure to let us know that we would not be staying in that hotel. |

| We stayed in the Sunrise in August 2002, and found the hotel and the staff excellent. Rooms were immaculately clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. |
