i loved the place and the resort was bigger than i thought.
i loved the entertianment on the night.
the food was excellent and people in the hotel were very helpfull. they made us feel very welcome.
i would recommend this place to anyone wishing to go their.
thank youm for a nice stay at your hotel.
keep it up i may be comming back in the near future. |

first time in bulgaria , not good first impression waiting two hours for suitcases. getting to hotel lovely and clean but in the part they put us in had no lift so had to carry luggage and sleeping child up to flights of stairs.
food was nice but a bit repetative and not a lot for children (beer on tap though). a few complaints but had a lovely time their lots of sun beds brill. |

We have just returned from our first visit to bulgaria and the Riu Evrika hotel, what can i say apart from FANTASTIC.
The hotel was spotless, the staff were brilliant- especially the chef's and the bar staff, the pool area was again brilliant - with a strict no reserving sun loungers policy so no getting up at 5 to get a bed, the food was very good - not once was there any thing that we did not enjoy- each evening they always had a selection of meat , potatoes, fish, rice, pasta ,vegetables, casserole/stew, mousaaka, pizza, chips, cold meats, salads , bread etc-etc, the all inclusive was very very good value for money and would recommend it to everyone especially if you have children. the entertainment staff were very good both during the day and night .
All in all an Excellent Holiday at a very reasonable price. at the end of the day this is only our opinion and im sure there will be people who would have a different opinion but from a mum of 2 boys aged 10 and 6 who cried all the way from the hotel to the airport as they didnt want to leave - that to me says it all !!!

Holiday from 31st august to 14 sept 2004
We arrived in bulgaria (bourgas) at 11pm and had an easy trip through customs. May i say that the wait for suitcases was horrendous but we finally left airport about 12. On the drive to Sunny beach we felt a bit apprehensive it was our first visit and see all these shanty type houses and thought oh my god what have we let ourselves in for?!!! Once we got to the resort centre we were relieved to find that it was like any other tourist area illuminated and lots of people bustling about. We arrived at our hotel and was pleasantly surprised the grounds were massive and although we did at first have problems as we had a disabled traveller in our party these were quicky rectified and he was given a room in the main hotel block that he could access in his wheelchair the reception staff were very helpful. Our first full day lovely sunny hot weather plentiful drinks lovely staff (may i say hello to them all) The downside was the food, may i say they try very hard but it was very repetitive and got boring after a few days. The pool was welcoming the first 5 days as it was so hot bearing in mind that there is no pool heating but the youngsters never went in the second week as such as even with the hot weather during the day it got quite cold of a night so pool was freezing. The Germans were really like what the staff called them (wasps) rude unfriendly and god can they eat, everything that was there they would have on there tables. Bearing this in mind we had a lovely time the on site entertainment team had a lot of time for us brits we have made some lovely friends from Uk and bulgaria the resort itself is very clean as is the evrika. was unhappy that on first venture out we saw a bear that we had been warned about shackled and on chains so made me sad to see and they have all sorts of wildlife from lizards to baby crocodiles that they try to get you to have pitures done with poor things have mouths taped up so avoided getting near the people with them. lots of people was doing it and they dont really bother or pester you. All in all we had a fantastic time and we would go back to the evrika (let us book first) its meant to be a lot more british people next year and if so they would cater better for us food wise hope these comments help anyone going here. |

Can honestly say that this was one of the most relaxing holidays we have had. First time in Bulgaria and apart from the horrendous wait at the airport on arrival to get through passport control. everything else was better than we expected.
Hotel is only three stories throughout but has ample grounds, swimming pool areas and large bedrooms. All staff with the exception of the odd bar staff very helphul and friendly. The hotel is very clean and the food is as good as you can expect from a hotel trying to varty the menu and keep adults and children from a variety of nationalities happy but they suceed most of the time.
Enjoyed the multicultural element of the other guests although the gremans were too great in number and were often arrogant and rude and had no idea of the word `queue`.
Plenty of sunbeds and you could get them without having to get up at an ungodly hour to beat the germans.
The hotel although towards the quieter northern end of the strip, is close enough to be accessible but away from the more noisier areas.
You are able to choose whether to just relax or take part in the activities. All in all a very enjoyable hotel.
Make the most of it while they still have the Lev and food and drink is cheap.
