Accommodation: 102 rooms and 26 suites. There are telephone, radio, satellite TV, mini-bar in the rooms as well as terraces with wonderful view to the sea and to the park.

| my wife and myself and indeed a lot of my family have been going to golden sands for years now and have stayed at many different hotels which cost more than the metropol okay they may be more modern and have more up to date facilities. but you cannot beat the friendliness and character of this hotel. Goldie who runs the taxi rank at the hotel is invaluable anything you want or need Goldie is your man, any trips you need to go on he will organise since we first met him Goldie has been a person you can trust if you have a language problem he will help if you dont know where somewhere is ask him or better still let him take you without fear of being ripped off ,other people have commented on the evening meal being poor quality they are right but you cant have everything i suppose. jim /ann |

| This hotel was what you would call sub standard, on the main strip, do not be surprised if your husband gets solisited by prostitutes every time he sets foot out the front door. Golden Sands is not a family resort, while we stayed there the very safety deposit boxes were broken in to never again |

| I thought the hotel had a lovely feel when i walked in but the food could have been better but then again you could always go to a restaurant outside. It is set in the best of places stalls outside it beach less than 40 ft away it was great i am a child and i loved it i couldnt wait to see the room i love the way it was all colour co-ordinated all blue the family room was excellent!I loved and I would go back if I got the chance |

| The Metropol hotel is ideally situated in the middle of Golden Sands, and has the advantage for families with younger children of being located at the quieter part of the resort. The rooms are basic, and are starting to look a bit tired and shabby in places. Not all have air conditioning, but all have a TV and a fridge. We did experience a problem with ants in the room, and having spoke to other residents, turned out to be not the only ones. Facilities in the hotel include a hairdressers, internet cafe and shop, which were all good. My wife and I felt that the food did not live up to the hotels 3 star grading, and on a few occasions having seen what was to offer, eat out in the local restaurents. My family and I loved Golden Sands and will be booking again to go next year, but having seen other hotels in the resort, will not be returning to stay at the Hotel Metropol. I would give it a star rating of 2. |
