Alex | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful We visited Bulgaria, Golden Sands in August 2004 and must admit we found the country a breath of fresh air. The resort was very friendy with an assortment of night life and lively atmosphere. However i can see the resort becoming very commercialised over the next few years. The hotel was very nice, with excellent service and hospitality. Although the swimming pools were very cold and it lacked great variety in the buffet, these were the only things we could fault. But i would recommend being only half board or bed and breakfast as there are lots of nice places to eat out at with low costs.
We are returning to Golden Sands this yearin anticipation of another great vacation! Was this review helpful to you? Despite poor weather we enjoyed our stay and would return to both Golden Sands and the Marina Grand. The service was excellent the staff faultless. Plenty of selection in the food department. This is NOT a 5* hotel, mainly because of the rooms, so do not expect even 4* comfort. I have friends that tried other hotels,4 or 5*, and they all arrived at the same conclusion. Brannan | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful I went to the Marina Grand Beach hotel in August 2005, and I would recommend this hotel to people visiting Golden Sands. It is in a very convenient location, just across from the beach, and stalls of the resort. On a negative note the pool was nice but the sunbeds were always taken very early in the morning. Therefore we found a private swimming-pool just off the side road for a small price of about 4 lev each, which included a sunbed, and it was very pleasant. Excellent views from the Sky Bar, serving cocktails on an evening. Also it was a nice view from our room. We are hoping to return to Marina Grand Beach in August 2006. Was this review helpful to you?
