this was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in (and im a student). the rooms were unsafe and dirty. this hotel should be pulled down. don't even consider this hotel!!! you have been warned!!!
my family have been to Bulgaria several times now. The only hotel we ever book for is the continental!!!
fair enough its nothing spectacular but we find it enjoyable and comfortable. People have to remember it is Bulgaria and not the Ritz!!!
its basic, but at the end of the day its just are base where we sleep, wash and eat. The food i have no problem with at all. Infact we are booked up to go back this July, and we cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had read some very worrying reports prior to leaving on 20/09 for a 7 day stay and were very concerned as to what sort of place we were going to. While the hotel is old and tired in many respects we found the staff pleasant and smiling. The only complaint we had about the room was the state of the carpet which was very soiled however the room was cleaned and fresh towels left on a daily basis. It is towards the end of the season as well and they were clearing the rooms in another block of the hotel either in readiness for refurbishment or demolition. The food - while not what many people are used to - was edible and although not piping hot - served at the temperature we understand was the norm for Bulgaria. Go with an open mind, don't expect British standards and you will enjoy your holiday. This is a big learning curve for the Bulgarians and they really are working hard to accommodate us Brits.
