The hotel rooms were ok, except the bathroom and balcony. Neither clean, nor well maintained... the entire hotel nees renovation.... the food was great, the staff very nice and helpful. Albena is a great place for families with kids.. lots to do... Weather awesome...... also everything is so cheap... all in all a great vacation place....
Were at Hotel Kompas july-04 for one week!
The standard is ok, but the bathroom sucks. The staff is polite & very nice. The food is not good in western standard! But all in all Albena was great & Kompas is a cheap and rather fine hotel.
what a nightmare,, cockroaches in room,, more flea bites than staying in a dogs home.. food naff ended up having to ear out all week,, if your booked to go to this hotel,, try to change to somewhere else,,
It´s bad that the staff speak so bad english. Some education would do some good!!!! But the will of doing the best for the guests makes it little easier.

The bathroom in our room was old and unfresh.
Many of the guests on the hotel were very slobby by throwing food on the ground in the poolarea!! BAD BAD!!! Some humans are pigs.
A hotel for people who wants to have a calm and relaxing time with everything served and very good food.
Just back from a two week stay at Hotel Kompas and have no complaints. Yes the rooms are basic (bed, showe, TV) but were clean and cleaned daily. Food was excellant found most staff pleasant and helpfull, a copule of exceptions but you can get that anywhere. Hotel probably not suitable if you have very small children, or if you have trouble with stairs as no lifts and a lot of steps to get down to the town and beach although there is a free shuttle bus or you can get the road train for 2 Lev!
One word of caution with the Henna Tattoo stalls make sure you get a price and pay before they are done, we were told that it would be 10 Lev for a small one and 15 Lev for a large, my children had one small one done and one larege one we were then charged 160 Lev!
In all we had a very enjoyable holiday and will be returning.
