Stayed at the Hotel Kavkaz in September 2004. The Hotel is really beautiful and the staff were really friendly. The only thing that let the holiday down was that the food was all German which was not to our taste. We therefore had to eat out which used our spending money even thought the food is very cheap. Good places to eat at The National and The Spirit of the World where you can have a good laugh with Annie. The local people are really nice and very welcoming.
Just had a week in Hotel Kavkaz after being transferred from original choice. Hotel was spotlessly clean, only 2 bad points, no air conditioning and food not brill though edible (geared mainly towards Germans who outnumber the English)
Look out for male waiter "Valentin" in dining room, he is very pleasant and helpful and speaks some English. Pool bar staff also very friendly. Try a massage whilst there. Overall, good stay.
this was uor first time in bulgaria and we can't fault it for cleanliness friendliness and value for money. we were allocated the hotel kavkaz on arrival. it was one of the nicest, cleanest places we have stayed. the breakfast cannot be faulted, plenty of fresh tasty food. we would definately go back there isn't anything not to like.
