We returned from our holiday three days ago. The staff are aboustley terrible. The manager was the nice, but the receptionists talk in spanish about you, and we have had some problems with maids borrowing iPods, PSP's, and certain items of clothing. The apartments are very dirty and the pool was disgusting. We found an old man sleeping in our bath when we returned and the beach is a 8 mile walk.
Horrible place. Staff are unpredicatable. Avoid at all costs. |

| We are just back from a 2 week stay in the Hotel, there were 26 of us, all 17 or 18 so naturally the staff didn't like us too much to begin with. Assumptions asside, however, the staff were generally unfriendly - especially all the bar staff in the small bar/restaurant. The receptionists were a bit better bar one unfriendly one (also look out for the hot blonde!) The manager was helpful with all of the problems that arose, namely when two cleaners "borrowed" belongings from our rooms. However the hotel sorted that out and i dont think problems like that should arise again. Anyway, back to the hotel, which was generally clean and the shower was powerful and had hot water. The rooms were small and basic but clean and comfortable, however i would recomend staying in the appartments if basic isnt what your looking for as they are massive compared to the rooms and are air conditioned and have microwaves and a kettle. The pool wasn't very clean compared to surrounding hotel's and if you wanted to use a sunbed you were required to pay 3 leva. Despite all of this we still had a good time downstairs at the pool and bar, after all the party's only what YOU make of it. In conclusion to this small essay,its a good location and was good for people our age and people just looking for somewhere half decent to sleep. If you are staying here make sure you look out for Peter in the Mini markent at the hotel, he was willing to share his bulgarian wisdom with us and dont be afraid to ask him anything. Weve just returned from a two week holiday in Bulgaria and had a FANTASTIC time. Our two children were never bored because there was always somthing to do which didnt break the bank. We ate in Dino's and Tanya more than once and always had a lovely meal, served by really friendly people. Khans tent trip made a great evening (plenty of wine on the table) with great entertainment.
Dont know about the hotel but the apartments were lovely, large rooms and clean. A C in the bedroom is a godsend. Only downer of the whole holiday is one of the receptionists is very sour faced. Everything is an effort.(longish curly dark hair) Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. |

| the staff from hell .no smiles no manners and worst of all try anything to cheat you. the hotel itsself is just about what you would expect for the star classification very basic. I know the linen changes are well pointed out in the balkanholidays brochure, but for a few more levs on the price needs to be sorted. marble floors with old fasioned carpet on the main stairs. half the rods not secure and broken neck waiting to happen. two weeks from anice relaxing holiday was finally ruined by the balkan manager in the globus office telling me what do you expect for 2 star (INFERRING BY HIS TONE OF VOICE THAT WE GOT WHAT WE DESERVED) SORRY IM DISABLEED AND NOT ABLE TO AFFORD ANYTHING BETTERmust be me then!!!!!!!!!!!! |

we have just come back having stayed two weeks in stalig 19 ( karlovo ) . we had better time out in the rain hotel was the pits. my brother is dissabled and they put him on the fifth floor when he asked to be moved he was told to pay 50 levs to be put on the second floor. bet you can guess what i said, they moved him but only after i made some threats, even mailin the rep wasnt interested he liked the blonde young and single people he helped them out .
my advice iff your going to the pits ( karlovo ) dont change iff you can you wont like it in staleg 19 dirty dismal and very unfriendly |
