| Just returned from a weeks stay at the hawaii and there are both positives and negatives about the place. The plus side first - The pool area is fantastic, big, clean and the bars are manned by friendly and helpful staff. The food served there is great especially salads - yum! The staff speak fantastic english and were helpful whenever needed. Our room was large with two balconies overlooking the pool and the sea with a view of sunny beach and Ness old town which was beautiful. We had the fridge (so useful!) and free air con (SO useful) that have been mentioned before and our room was cleaned more or less every day. Now the downside - The beds have to be the most uncomfortable things i have ever slept on - resembling a cot and absolutely tiny, they creaked and groaned all night long and we lost lots of sleep everytime one of us turned over. I ended up pulling out the bed on the floor as it gave me more support. I unfortunately discovered though on doing this that under the bed hadnt been cleaned for what looked like months. Dirty socks and general mess - Yuk! The breakfast that came with our stay was not pleasant and nowhere near the standard of the outside bar which we thought was bizarre. The location is too far out in my opinion, not near enough to the old town for those who like great food and wandering the streets and nowhere near sunny beach for those who want nightlife without staying in bulgarian benidorm. I wouldnt go back but thats not to say it was horrible. I guess the lesson is that you get what you pay for! |

| just as a follow up to my other comments, i thought i'd say I went back to the hawaii three weeks ago and it has been totally refurbished - there are now fridges, phones and free air conditioning in every room, and all the bathrooms have been re-tiled,. new sinks put in and everything painted or wallpapered. and as for the food, its amazing, so much better than before. would recommend this to anyone!!!! |

| We stayed at the Hawaii June 05 and loved it. It was my 1st time there and my mum Julies 4th time at this hotel. We have already booked to go back this June and cant wait. Yes, the rooms are standard, but as we spend our time sunbathing by the pool with the company of the excellent staff, we are not bothered about the room. We found it clean and it served its purpose for what we needed. If you go with a relaxed attitude, its not a problem. See you all soon !!!!!!!!! |

| I have stayed there twice now, once in 2002 and once in 2004. I think it is a brilliant hotel in a really good location, not far from the good shops and nightlife but peaceful enought that you get a good nights' sleep. Apart from an infestation of korny bugs, which was not something that could be controlled, it was great. Yes its basic but that is what you pay for, and as for someone commenting on being left once they were off the bus - oh come on how hard is it to walk up to the front desk with your travel details and check in? It has undergone recent refurbishment so I expect that a few things will have changed for the better, as the decoration in the rooms was slightly dated!! The staff are lovely and friendly, and speak very good english compared to most bulgarians who speak none. I love the hotel, and i'm going back there in June and plan to do so for many years to come. |

i went to hotel hawaii last year and i must admit i enjoyed it so much we are planing to go back thisyear! i must admit the rooms are in need of some refurnish but for the price we wernt complaining.
we found the staff friendly and befriended a fair few of them. the breakfast we had in the morning was always tasty and overall i cant agree with any comments people have made. if you want 5 star you pay 5 star you pay three star and thats what you get!! |
