I was first disappointed when I saw the door of our room, and especially when we went inside, but after all it's not bad at all. The bathroom seemed to have been done up lately, it was clean and everything was new in it. The room is not luxurious, but it is just o.k. for having somewhere to sleep. The breakfast is all right too, although you get the same things every day. But at least you can eat as much as you want. The only bad thing about our room was that it looked over Disco Orange, mentioned below :), and the guests over there were shouting and singing loudly each and every night until closing time. If you want to avoid the sleepless nights, ask for a room not facing the disco. When we arrived, the tourist guide told us that the cheapest restaurant in town is Djanny. It's not true. The cheapest restaurant is the restaurant of Hotel Balkan. There is not a big variety of dishes, but what is on the menu is good, and it's really very cheap. Anyway, it's impossible to get in to Djanny's, there is always a long queue of people outside.
hi i was in bulgaria this summer 22\7\03\ the rooms where the worst i ever seen and the food was stone cold the only ting i liket was the bartender he was nice and he could speak swedish
The rooms were very old, the cleaninglady didn't take up the dirt on the floor (well, neither did she take my tip i left for her). One day it was raining, and since you couldnt close the door it rained right in. There are no lockers on the bathroom-doors.
A plus for the nice personal on the hotel.
It's really cheap and you get what you pay for =) if youre a youth, you'll probably love it, even though they got a "quiet after 2200 a clock"- rule.
Well, if youre only going to use the hotel for sleeping and showers, this is the hotel for you!
Though the hotel isn't very modern, we had our best journey. The breakfast was very well (though we drank all night long! :-)!) The personal was nice. The hotel is only 5 minutes from beach away. Additionally, the best disco in town (ORANGE!!!) is only 2 (!!!) minutes away. If you visit sunny beach, you have to take a B-52 in hotel BALKAN. The bar man of this hotel mix the best ones. The rooms aren't dirty at all (maybe you will find some fish in front of your room door - merry christmas).
The most guests are from scandinavia. They are nice and open-minded. Sunny beach and hotel Balkan is the best option to spend your "Maturareise" there (very cheap and a lot of fun - and alcohol!!!)
