We returned from our holiday three days ago. The staff are aboustley terrible. The manager was the nice, but the receptionists talk in spanish about you, and we have had some problems with maids borrowing iPods, PSP's, and certain items of clothing. The cooks will steal your drinks and food while you are eating them, just for fun. (they think this is a joke.) The apartments are very dirty and the pool was disgusting. We found an old man sleeping in our bath when we returned and the beach is a 8 mile walk.
Horrible place. Staff are unpredicatable. Avoid at all costs. |

| we have stayed in the avliga hotel three times, this is a fantastic hotel, great location central to sunny beach, we have never had a problem getting a sunbed anytime time of day, the rooms are clean, the staff are very friendly and are always happy to help. The beach is 2 minutes walk and you can see the seafront if you stand by the pool, that how close you are. the hotel bar is very reasonable and cheaper than some bars around this area. we will be returning to this hotel as we are very satisfied with the location accomodation and staff here. |

| stayed in hotel first 2 weeks in sept 2004, with hearing numerous horror stories about certain hotels in sunny beach, i had no problems with the avliga, just a nice sized hotel, maids in cleaning the rooms everyday, and they were very friendly, so were most of the hotel staff, the odd one could learn the art of smiling, but they work long hours for very little. only downfall were the breakfasts, but plenty of places to go for breakfast instead, and too many germans who must have getting up at 4 in the morning to take all the sun loungers. there is plenty to do and see in sunny beach, nessebar is worth visiting. very cheap and i had no problems with the food in the restaurants, and one final word the bulgarian lasses are very beautiful, i must have fell in love with everyone of them. i will be going to bulgaria again and i would recommend the avliga. chow!!! for now |

stayed here late august, early sept (2 weeks) most things already said, i found to be true. i would like to add the hotel reminded me of a Quality inn of America. i found breakfast OK, but not worth getting up for, if your tired. not really enough sunbeds, but this is not too much of problem because the beach is so closeby. beer was cheaper in the hotel bar then most other places i drunk (2 lev, although i was told this was dear compared to some places) overall like i said hotel was pretty much like a QI of A which in my bool is ok. i was clean , staff were pleasant and maid service every day , clean towels every 2. one negative point would be if like us you have a late flight home, then the hotel manager will try to rip you off to keep your room after the 12 noon check out time, he offered it to me for 79lev the person before me told me he was asked 99 lev this is not even to stay in the same room you have to pack up , leave your room and go to another with not balcony, so whats the point. in fairness it may not be his policy and you can use the a room in the lobby to store your case for free as well as shower in a shower room. so yes i would recommend this hotel but i do fell the rating is more 2str then 3.
on sunny beach , very stay off the beach to eat its cheaper in town recommend the windmill , victoria palace end of the beach behind the sunset hotel.
all the pervious warnings youve read are true so take note of them, becareful of pickpockets and dont leave your bags unattended, . we were ok but witness both. the last negative thing i wont to say is LISTEN to what you are told about the change booths on the streets, they WILL rip you off. there was one out the front of the hotel , overlooked by our balcony, we saw at least one person ripped every day. and if they tried to argue from the back of the building appears a secrurity guard (thug). who persuaded them to leave. that said go to sunny beach, enjoy it its very cheap, hot and most of the locals are nice people. my final comment is is you go to Nessebar, take the bus its cheaper 0.50lev (20p) |

| We waren laatste week augustus begin september in hotel. Prima hotel, ideale ligging vlak in centrum en 20 meter van strand, lekker ontbijt vriendelijk personeel, iedere dag schone kamers en handdoeken leuke kinderanimatie (kids zijn 6 en 8 jaar) kortom een prachtvakantie!!! |
