Comments for Festa Panorama Hotel Nessebar
NessebarJulie Roberts | 4 out of 4 found this review helpfulWe have just returned from staying in this hotel. The hotel seems to cater for mainly german guests as there were very few British guests in the hotel. Also the receptionists don't seem to understand English very well. The food isn't very good and tends to run out very quickly. Strange menu choices (ie green beans and yorkshire puddings at breakfast time, brussel sprouts with nuts and bacon at dinner). The entertainment team provide the cheesiest entertainment ever seen. Prices in the hotel very expensive. Was this review helpful to you? No idea what Suzie is talking about. We had an excellent holiday in this nice hotel. Yes, the rooms are a bit old style but clean and with everything one needs. Good beds, TV, mini bar, nice bathroom. The food is good, the buffets offer enough variety and we enjoyed it. The hotel is ideally situated in our view. Close enough to the Sunny beach area for a visit, but also far enough from that hectic place with it's many hotels, bars, restaurants and shops. I see from another comment that there used to be a Pole dancing and escort service ([+]view more) in the basement. That's no longer there, we had some drinks and saw shows from the entertainment team in what is now called the Piano Bar. That team is an enthousiastic group of people trying to bring you a nice show for just one hour each evening. Some singing, dancing and sketches. During the day they organise several sports in and around the pool area. If you want to, you can be busy for most of the day. The gym is next to the indoor pool in the basement and a good alternative if you don't want to run along the busy road in front of the hotel. Lovely Nessebar is just 10 minutes walking and filled with small shops. Leave some space in the luggage for all the inexpensive goods you may want to purchase. The hotel was full when we left 2 days ago and it got a little too crowded for our taste, but we could still find (free) sunbeds at the pool. Don't think too much about the beach. It is indeed some 100 m from the hotel, but extremely busy. It was almost impossible to walk to Sunny beach. All in all we had a very positive experience. If we ever go back to this part of Bulgaria, we will probably stay here again. Was this review helpful to you? YesNoNessebarnorth east family | 2 out of 2 found this review helpfulExcellent hotel, clean bright, pool great, gym good. prices expensive inside although half the price for drinks etc as soon as you leave the hotel. Puzzeled that there is a Pole dancing / escort service in the nightclub in the basement which isnt the best for a family hotel where kids are running around and the daners ( polite word for them) in their susprnders etc chatting to the kids while the kids play table tennis :(Was this review helpful to you? YesNoNessebarEileen | 2 out of 2 found this review helpfulStaying at the hotel now and I agree it is better than first impressions. However, when we arrived we were given a room overlooking a very busy main road - not good. Immediately requested a change and for a small fee were given a choice of rooms. Now very happy in top floor room overlooking the bay with a very private balcony (othere are only divided by glass partition) We have also found a nice sun terrace at the other end of the hotel which no one else seems to use and is perfect in the early evening for a late sun bathing session! Be very careful when changing money - only use banks or hotels as lots of horror ([+]view more) stories of seemingly respectable sites ripping off unsuspecting tourists. All in all, a good experience. Was this review helpful to you? YesNoNessebarjane | 2 out of 2 found this review helpfulwe have just got back from a lovely week at this hotel, it was a lovely clean hotel and the staff was great, it was my birthday while i was there and the maid had seen my cards and informed the hotel, when we returned there was a cake and wine waiting for me, excellent, the only thing i can fault about the hotel was the tv in the rooms, there was only 1 english channel, and the rest was german, other hotels had english an english film channel. Was this review helpful to you? YesNoNessebarjim green | 2 out of 2 found this review helpfulWell deserving of its 4 star status. Half board- excellent selection of well prepared breakfasts and evening meals. Rooms well cared for. Furniture adequate but first impressions sparse. Bathroom excellent. Lifts to all floors. Hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. During our stay, 10.5.04 - 17.5.04 - very heavy German presence - though staff can speak English they seem more comfortable with the german language. Breakfast from 7.30am - 10.0am - service in my experience not so good around 9.30am. Tables were not being reset from earlier guests. Had to wait for table to be made up. Had to request coffee ([+]view more) which was normally served almost immediatey. Coffee was cold when served and contained enough only for 2 cups - normally 4 or 5 cups. Believe coffee was what another guest had left!. No cups on table. Bacon in particular, which I enjoy, not abundant and swimming in grease. Scrambled egg was very gooey. Apart from thatone occasion, we loved the hotel and its staff and would without doubt return. Was this review helpful to you?
