Comments for Zefir Hotel Sunny beach
Sunny beachDavid L Wilkinson | 1 out of 1 found this review helpfulMy partner and I have already had the good luck of finding and then staying at the Zefir, but what made the place was that the hotel really knows how to look after its guests, and have in the end become friends that go the extra mile to make your stay there a welcoming one. We have already had 3 holidays there and are shortly returning for another couple of weeks. With being of the older age group we like the Zefir for its peacefulness, only spoilt by a neighbouring hotel that occasionally has young groups of exuberant younger generations enjoying the supply of cheap ([+]view more) drink then letting others know they can't sing as well as they think they can. But don't let that put you off going to the Zefir as it's not their fault, seeing as they don't own the other hotel.
So go on give the Zefir a call and book your holiday, and remember its in a foreign country so accept that other guests might be from other countries, but that's what a holiday abroad should be like, a mixture of people, cultures, and many different types of food, with a wide choice to suit all tastes. Was this review helpful to you? What I liked so much about it was that it was in the middle of the centre and we used to go in this pub across from the hotel zefir called JOHN SMITHS we used to go in there a couple of times a day and the staff was also realy friendly aswell. We hope to go to go there again some day.Was this review helpful to you? My husband and I had a wonderful time at this super clean and friendly hotel. Right near the beach and a little train ride from Sunny Beach centre and Nessebar which is lovely. Cleanest place we have been to in and all around the hotel even cleaning going on in the bar when we arived at 4.am.and the bar is open 24 hours. Only little bit down side is the seagulls - very noisy, but we loved it there and are going to go back in September. Hopefully it will not be so hot.Was this review helpful to you? Germans are quiet and go to bed early so no problems there. Drinks are dead cheap and the Zefir bar is open till very late and full of party people up for a laugh. Beach is 2 mins away and you can always go to the swimming pool instead. Top marks for the Bulgarian chicks too. Young people, Mania nightclub in the central SB is great for house music. Was this review helpful to you? Food got a bit monotonous but when you are catering for the masses the staff did well as there was always enough. Sun beds!!!!!!!!!, When in Rome ect!! if you know what I mean. Would have benefited from A.C. Mini train into centre only broke down once and that was a laugh. Very cheap transport though as sometimes a bit far to walk in the heat. Tried all of the restaurants near, food cheap and service not bad. Best food we had was in the Esperanto (try the Diplomat) - Todor and Kaitia were ([+]view more) great and very helpful - they explained everything we did not understand realy well and their service was excellent. If you dont have a hire car, use a taxi and make sure you know the price. A lovely place to visit is the town of Pomorie. Had a good holiday and would go back. Was this review helpful to you? Breakfasts were good with plenty of choice, from a cooked breakfast to typical continental (geared to the predominantly german toursists in the hotel, though there were plenty of brits while we were there). Pool staff serving you drinks and food were very efficient and it was sooo cheap! Enjoyed going to Macamita's a Mexican restaurant in the centre of the resort (down the art gallery street where lots of traders are selling clothes and souvenirs). The two ([+]view more) lads who sang there for entertainment were brill. Our most expensive meal was £14.00 in total (that was for two courses and a bottle of red wine!!) The only negative things I have to mention are the battle to get your towels on the sunloungers on a morning (there wasn't enough) and the fact that the electricity went off a few times while we there (only for 20/30 minutes at a time). Overall though a super holiday - I would thoroughly recommend anyone to go.Was this review helpful to you? This hotel caters very much for germans only, there were only very few English. The hotel is very clean and the pool is fabulous, plenty of room for sunbeds.
The breakfast isnt too good and does not look very apertizing AT ALL! I was shocked to see blue plastic tupperware placed on the tables with marmalade and jam. The bread was fresh and was nice toasted thats about it. We ate in the restaurant one day and never went back again, the food was very poor and tasteless.
There are ([+]view more) a few restaurants around the hotel, they were ok but nothing spectacular. Your best bet is to go into Sunny beach into the town centre for a meal. Nessebar is also very nice place to eat. Stay away from Captain Cooks though this was the worst meal we had ever had! Micheals bar is nice to eat and that's in Nessebar. The beaches are lovely in sunny beach and the weather was fabulous 100 degrees everyday. To be honest with you this wasnt the best holidays we have had mainly because the food is a bit of a let down, the place is lovely though! Everyone has different views but try it and find out for yourself. I would recommend the hotel though to anyone, very clean and thats the main thing and has a large pool. The beach is only a short way away. Zefir is not in the centre but you can get a little train outside that takes you into sunny beach.
have a good holiday! take care xxWas this review helpful to you? YesNoSunny beachE&N | 2 out of 2 found this review helpfulJust home from an excellent holiday, can't offer any explanation for the mysterious oval holes though - sorry! Fridge in the room was also an added bonus keeping the (very cheap) wine chilled for a last drink before bedtime.
On a two week trip the repetitive breakfasts were given a miss in the second week (better was the endless parade of fruit, doughnuts cakes etc down on the beach!).
To whoever left their lilo and snorkel etc near the pool - free to a good home - we thank you for the use of the lilo and passed it on again as we were leaving. The other bits ([+]view more) soon disappeared too.l
Excellent food and drink all over the place although we weren't brave enough to try the "Cheese under a fur cap" or the "Nervous rissoles" on offer at the Hotel Kotva (what we did eat there was also good - it is worth a visit just for the menu laughs).

NOTHING AT ALL WRONG WITH HOTEL APART FROM THE FACT THAT IT CATERS MAINLY FOR GERMANS HOLIDAYMAKERS, HOWEVER IN SAYING THAT WHEN YOU WON THE BATTLE AT BREAKFAST THE FOOD WASN'T TOO BAD. THE RESORT WAS O.K. WITH EASY ACCESS TO THE BEACH. OLD NESSEBAR IS A FABULOUS PLACE AND IS WELL WORTH A VISIT. THE BULGARIAN PEOPLE ARE SUPERB AND EATING AND DRINKING IS REALLY, REALLY CHEAP ON TWO OCCASIONS WE HAD A FOUR COURSE MEAL PLUS A PITCHER OF WINE, A BOTTLE OF THE LOCAL FIREWATER & A BOTTLE OF LEMONADE FOR JUST 9LEV WHICH ([+]view more) IS ABOUT 3.39PER PERSON!! IF YOU DECIDE TO GO OUT ON TRIPS BEST USE TAXI'S OR LOCAL TRANSPORT RATHER THAN ORGANISED TRIPS IT WORKS OUT CHEAPER AND IF YOU GET A GOOD TAXI DRIVER IT CAN SAVE YOU POUND'S ANYONE WHOSE GOING TO HOTEL ZEFIR ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY AND ALSO THE BATTLE OF THE BREAKFAST!!Was this review helpful to you? It`s spotlessly clean, no cockroaches, modern rooms, well decorated, small but functional balconies, and comfy beds (but why the oval elastic hole in the top sheet???). Food is reasonable, but the best place to eat in the whole of Sunny Beach is the Restaurant Esperanto, just at the end of the road that the hotel is on. You`ll know it cos there`s a David Dickinson lookalike stood outside it every night welcoming you in! The food here is utterly DELICIOUS and the staff are lovely, AND you get a free drink!Oh, and our waiter looked just like Bryan Ferry! Was this review helpful to you? YesNoSunny beachsam | 2 out of 2 found this review helpfulI have just returned from a week in Sunny Beach at the Hotel Zefir and it was fantastic.
*The rooms were cleaned immaculately every day
*Clean glassware provided in room each day
*Towels were changed every day
*Two toilet rolls left in room each day
*The lighting was fine in the hotel
*The lift was in full working order
*The heating and air conditioning was spot on
*The staff were brilliant especially the waitresses, given their English was not brilliant but they helped when needed.
*The food wasnt brilliant it was more catered ([+]view more) for the Germans, but there was a very big choice.
*The dinning room was very clean and kept tidy
*The food was continuously brought out fresh
*No cats or dogs were seen, but if you sat in the outside area lots of tiny birds fly near the table.
*No gym but fantastic pool
*No kids club
*Snacks available 24 hours a day from the bar, large pizza £2 Toasties 70p Ice creams 50p
*Change booth available 12 hours a day with very good exchange rate
*Mini train outside hotel every 15mins, 1.50lev to get to Sunny Beach =50p
The bar in the hotel was one of the cheapest places to drink and eat, 70p for a large lager and under £1.00 for a 50ml vodka and orange.
The beach is 5mins walk. a mini golf straight opposite the hotel. There are a couple of supermarket and bars and reataurants surrounding the hotel. I strongly reccomend to anyone that they shoud try this hotel. Was this review helpful to you? There were so many problems that i may forget to list them all but here goes:
: Rooms cleaned only once, the day after we arrived
: Glassware provided in room not cleaned for 5 days
: Beds made only once, the day after we arrived

: Poor lighting in corridors even after request was made for maintenance to repair them

: Staff rude and unco-operative when asked about heating or any other Hotel business

: No bar facilities either during this time
: Supermarket next door could only sell out of date food for our consumption whilst Hotel was out of bounds
: Due to wedding taking place, breakfast was served in the Hotel lobby

: No Hotel Representive available after first 3 days
: No hot water available to several guests
: Night security viewing pornographic movies whilst guests including the children, were still around the lobby
: No first aid kit either
: No entertainment provided for guests despite being informed by Hotel Representative that there would be
Although there was a taxi service available for guests to use, without this we would have had no contact with the outside world. Various reasons for this included the weather but mainly due to the fact that the season had already ended and there were no shops or restaurants or hotels open during our stay. Nowhere to go, nowhere to eat, nothing for the children to do despite being promised various activities, made for a very dreadful holiday. The Hotel (and every one of the shops/restaurants) would not restock items of food or drink during our stay because of end of season, so very limited to what we could eat or drink. This is very bad for people travelling with children. This was very bad for all guests.
