Bulgarian H1 tourism revenues jump 25%


According to figures from the Ministry of Economy in Bulgaria, revenues from the country’s tourism totalled euro646.3m during the first six months of 2004. This was 25.1% higher than in the corresponding period of 2003.International visitor numbers, meanwhile, were up nearly 35% year-on-year at 3,303,359 between January-August 2004.Greece was the biggest inbound market during the eight months with 437,470 visitors, while numbers from the UK increased by 66% to 199,950.
