Bulgaria's traditional Apollonia Festival of Arts will launch is 26th edition in the southern Black Sea resort town of Sozopol Saturday. The festival, set to last August 28 - September 5, will feature as always a vast array of performances in music, theater, literature and the visual arts. Apollonia 2010 will open 8.30 pm with a concert at the open-air theater in downtown Sozopol. Among the highlights of the festival will be the exhibitions by famous and new Bulgarian painters at the Sozopol Art Gallery, as well as many jazz concerts. The event will be extensively covered by the Bulgarian National TV and the Bulgarian National Radio. Apollonia was Sozopol's ancient name 6th c. BC - 4th c. AD.
