Michelle | 3 out of 3 found this review helpful Had an absolute ball in sunny beach, the Tiara Beach hotel made the holiday it is just fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel its the best. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back for the hotel alone. It was so clean and spacious. Excellent for kids, ideal for families. Will most definitely go back, x x x. We have just returned from the Tiara beach and would like to add a few comments. We have stayed at Iberostar Hotels in the past and have found there is one major failing on this hotel and that is the hot buffet or main meal. Could not fault the staff they were great, our room had the view that others would kill for. Beach is one of the best. The entertainments team were brilliant but it was the food that let them down. If you like Pork or piglet as they also call it your ok, if you like veg (when it is available) that is not cooked ([+]view more) and Beef Goulash that you could not chew then ok the hotel is for you. We complained to our rep who took it up with the management who were good as gold, it did improve for one day then went back to that same old tired menu. Iam sorry after staying at the other Iberostar at Golden Sands this hotel in not in their league. Just to add we love all food and try not to eat British whilst we are away and have come to love the Bulgarian cuisien. Chris & Lynn Jones Was this review helpful to you? I could not have asked for a better service, general entertainment nor accomodation. I recommend it to everyone! Was this review helpful to you? Yes No alice summers | 3 out of 3 found this review helpful marvellous. Arrived early hours of morning to be greeted by very friendly staff and very wiling to help. The room was excellent, very clean and spacious. The maid came in every day and cleaned the room to a high standard. Food- excellent quality, lots of variation, nice and hot, breakfasts were better than expected and staff in restaurant were very friendly and helpful. I would have no qualms in recommending this hotel to anyone and I shall be returning soon. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Theresa and Rob | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful What a great place, food is different but if you want to go to another country dont try and find fish and chips!! we tried everything, true sometimes it wasnt to our taste but we could always eat it, it was hot and very well presented, hotel staff were very good, rooms were excellent, we used the little train that stopped outside to go up and down to the busier areas and it was very cheap and very good. we are going back in may and are going to try the new Iberostar hotel openening this year and cant wait. We are also going to look for a property while we are there. We ([+]view more) made friends with a local girl and she is now a pen-friend. If you havent been to BG you have to try it. Yes No jennifer & andrew | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful we spent two weeks here at the tiara beach, its an amazing hotel, really is but as most people, i have 2 complaints and they are
1. the GERMANS - they arnt the most pleasant of people but just stare back and they soon stop!!!
2. the food - some nights the food was really good but most night the food just wasnt - its cheap enough to go out for dinner anyway and by far better food, (chinese is good here best peking duck i've ever had)!!
Other than that tho, the service was brillant, reception was good 'Ivo' one of the reception guys is really nice and friendly ([+]view more) and always wants to help!! The maids are really good too and most of the waitress and waiters were ready to help whenever you need it!!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone its great!!

Joanne & Paul | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful We spent a great week at Tiara Beach. It was faultless, from the appearance to the friendly staff. The only issue was trying to get at least a nod from our predominantly German fellow residents. The food was also geared towards a German pallet, that said the pizza, salad and chips were great! Overall the Tiara Beach is spotless, friendly and central. A brilliant place to stay.
P.S BE UP VERY EARLY IF YOU WANT A LOUNGER AND DONT WANT TO BE LEFT LYING WITH YOUR TOWEL ON THE GRASS!!!

Stuart & Katya | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful Just came back from staying three nights at the Tiara beach and I can defiantly say that I would come back again. I found the staff helpful. I tried to use a little Bulgarian that I know and the staff seemed to appreciate that. Though due to that fact that there are a lot of Germans staying there I did get a lot of "Guten Tag". I found the food was good, yes it is not geared up for the British, but you are not in Britain, so try something different.
The place was clean, the rooms were always spotless. We were last at Sunny Beach 3 years ago and you would not believe ([+]view more) the difference now. It is so much more geared up for tourists. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Robert Selway | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful We got there on the 3 of august near 4 o'clock in the morning where we were greated by helpful staff. overall it was a very posh hotel at first glance.., with marbel floors and stairs, the direction signs painted gold. we went up to our room where they had a digital lock door on the door. there was a sattilite tv, telephone and a room service button. the toilets were marbel and a maid came once a day to make the beds, empty bins and sort out the towels. at the pools, there was an inside pool, wich was colder than the others, and two BIG pools with water features and a ([+]view more) babys section. there are loads of activities during the day for all ages and a pool side bar protected from the rain. its a 3 minute walk to the beach where there are water activities such as jetskies and banna boats... and a boat ride that goes to a small town called nessibar. reception has info on all decent attractions in the area. There is also an internet room that has slow internet, but loads of games ready to play, such as gta 3 and 4, hurcules and many more. you can buy dvds there that were still in the cinemas here and cheep clothes. but like all holidays, there has to be bad points. first, the room service. we wanted 2 more pillows (as we were only given 1 each). we asked 2 maids, reception twice and room service twice, with no return. the place is full of germans, so communication is hard. the language barrier with staff is quite difficult. to order drinks, in some cases you must say 7up instead of lemonade. if you are a family with children up to 14, the area isn't right. it is slowly turning in to another ibeza. and the main problem is you cant discover bulgaria. we thought it would be small villages, but instead we found a large town, streets lined with shops and reastraunts. people are always asking you to buy. the people are friendly there, and speak english quite fluently. I will leave by saying...it is best not to use taxis there. they go very fast and dont "believe" in breaking at corners. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Bob | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful I was there in july this year. Everything is Ok apart from food, which could definitely be better as it usually is in 4 star hotels. Tha staff doesn't speak English so well as other mentionned. Everyone speaks German and you feel as you were in Berlin and not in Bulgaria. We defenitly did not like it. German people behave as everyone were German and talk to you in their language, which was unpleasant. The staff is not a 4 star hotel staff. Nevertheless the hotel seems to be one of the best hotels in Sunny Beach this is why we come back there in September again. We eat ([+]view more) in restaurants where the food is better and cheap. As far as entertainment for guests it is rather low quality.
Bulgaria itself is a great holiday country worth seeing.

Spleurker | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful I have just spent 2 great weeks at this brilliant hotel, with my wife and 2 kids (8&4). It is modern, spotlessly clean and in a quieter part of the resort. The entertainment for kids & adults is good, the team work really hard. The food was excellent, the room was great, and the staff friendly, efficient and speak English. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Theresa | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful Came back 2 weeks ago, what a great hotel. We were due to stay in the Kalina Garden but had a call from Thomas Cook to say we were being sent to Tiara beach as they had a health and safety problem with the Kalina. WE DEFINEATLY CAME OUT ON TOP. Plenty of food not geared towards the Brits tho more for the Germans. Hotel spotless, pool great both in and outdoor, nice spot. The mini train was great, there were 2 that went different routes to the centre of Sunny Beach and then when we fancied a change u could get on another that went to the other end of Sunny beach towards ([+]view more) Victoria Palace end. Did have a mishap tho, went for into the Irish Bar at Chaika Hotel (the only thing irish was a few bottles of Guiness on the back shelf) anyhow, i needed to spend a penny so I toddled off and left my hubby with a pint and watching tv. MY NIGHTMARE BEGAN, i asked a maid where the loo was and she directed me to one down the hotel corridor, very posh, spotless, tiled from floor to ceiling, marble floor no gap under or above the door and then it happened, i'd locked the door and it wouldnt open. I
never new that I had a phobia about small spaces and this was very small....I strarted knocking on the door, then started shouting, and shouting and knocking and kicking at the door after about 10 minutes that felt like hours a voice shouted OK then silence again, I was now very frightened and became very upset, I started shouting again asking for help, as it was an internal lou there was no window and now fresh air, i was petrified but then the door suddenly opened inwards and I almost ran out just in time to see 2 men who I presume were hotel staff running away, nobody there to see if I was ok and I was in quite a state by now. I made my way back to my hubby who was oblivious to all, he thought i'd been a long time and thought I must have been having a nose around, no suck luck. This hotel is a 5 star with 0 star care for customers. My thumbs and palms of my hands turned Blue/Black within half an hour from knocking on the door and the bruises lasted all week. All this apart we had a great time in Bulgaria and our hotel was second to none

p woolley | 3 out of 3 found this review helpful just got back this morning 22nd june and had a brilliant time. read alot on this site but found there wasnt a lot of comments and was a little worried. arrived mon eve and got a pleasant surprise wat a lovely hotel, the room (we had a junior suite) was better then expected, there is a mini bar, hairdryer, toilitries. the pool was area was large and even after getting to the pool after 8.30 we always managed to get a bed. the beach is across the road towards the back of hotel(which we prefered) and is clean and beautiful. once on the beach, if you walk to the left this ([+]view more) takes you to the main promenade at sunny beach, there is lots to see an do. if you go to the right you can walk into nessebur which we loved, we drank and had meals here and not expensive. you can get taxi from hotel to nessebur and still only 10 levs. food in hotel is catered towards dutch and germans, dont expect english bacon, sausauge or beans. they do fried eggs but these are outside where they do omlettes and pancakes. i can honestely say you would have to be extremely fussy if there isnt something here for adults and children. i would say though , 98% of guest are german or dutch and they do not respond to us english. each morning (for the first four days) i would greet them with hello, or good morning and all that is given back is a long stare, in fact from gettingin the lifts at whatever time of day nobody spoke, while they were tryin to find out what nationality you were. but will go back again its such a nice place, drinks and food cheap, sun,and nice beaches. The room was great and the maid comes everyday to change your towels and make your beds. The resort of sunny beach was good, there is alot of building work going on but you soon forget about that with the price's of the food and drink avalible.

johnny m | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful there for last week in may 2004 hotel superb, food more suited to the german guests, but still very nice selection to please all. you could upgrade to a sea view for a few £ a night if available. nothing to much trouble for staff would return again. small train stops outside hotel to take you into resort centre and return for a few levs. get sunbed matresses by inside pool. if you walk down to beach its a nice walk on the beach to nessebar. phoneing from hotel quite reasonable costs. Yes No Chris Crane | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful This is a superb hotel - only open two weeks when we got there and the location and facilities were amazing. It is rated a four star and is that at the very least. The only problem for us was that we booked through JMC but it was mainly occupied by German holiday makers. There was always an English speaking member of staff available however and we found the reception, cleaning and entertainment staff very friendly and helpful. JMC have advised us that they intend to have more UK gusts there in the future however. Was this review helpful to you?
