billy davidson sandy stewart steve kelly | 1 out of 1 found this review helpful just came back after a one week stay half board with 2 other m8s,room was clean and new towels every day. now for the bad points food was rotten, drink was the same, hotel saff didn't care, view from room was at side of hotel second storey up. and as for a extra 50 lev from midday to 18:00hrs then another 40lev from 18:00hrs till 22:00hrs ripe off as we had to check out by midday, sunbeds were a joke never be back. The hotel itself is beautiful and is spotless clean, the rooms are very spacious and cleaned to perfection every day. The food lacks some variation but cannot fault the standard of what we did get. The bar staff (and Managers) were just brilliant, I spent some time in the bars on my own and they were great company! The beach is only 2 minutes walk from the front door of the hotel. I will definitely be returning with my 4 year old daughter next year. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No sandra | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful Booked 2 wks at this hotel from 02/09/06 and was really looking forward to a well deserved holiday with my husband, The flight with Balkan Holidays was diabolical with dangerously damaged seating so be careful on the aisle seats as the arms/seat edging are damaged and sharp enough to cause injury, No inflight entertainment not even a radio. Flight delayed 2.5 hrs. However flight attendents very pleasant. On arrival at Bougas Airport it took over an hour for our baggage to be cleared. Two flights that landed after ours were totally cleared whilst we waited, plenty of room for improvement. An uneventful journey to our hotel which took ([+]view more) 30mins and we were very pleased when we saw the hotel and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was very good, exceptionally clean and well presented. The maid kept it like this for the duration and the beds were made up differently every day wtih the towels being used as one would use paper in oregami, swans, fans etc. On awakening our first morning we looked out onto a balcony over looking the front of the hotel and the beach/sea, it was wonderful, every morning waking to the sun rising over the sea. Our first impression of our first breakfast and evening meal was very favourable plenty of choice. However this was short lived when my husband became ill after his 3rd evening meal, fortunately I had eaten a different meal. Some people we had become friendly with were also ill and we deduced it had been the rice served with peas, corn etc which had been served with the veg, it was barely warm as were the chips, boiled pots and most of the other ''hot'' dishes. The food was recycled each meal time and became another dish. My advice would be to take care and eat only what could be recognised as a ''new/fresh'' dish, It was usually a roast meat in gravy which could be described as very warm. At breakfast most days we had pancakes which were cooked in front of us. However we decided to eat out evenings and gradually my husband's health improved. We thought we had been unlucky, but as we spoke to other people, as one does on holiday, it appears it is not just this hotel but is rife in the resort hotels due to the recyling of food and the fact it is never served at the correct temperature, It also came to light that a travel agent in Scotland had recommended that their clients went bed/bfast. So BE WARNED!! The resort is ideal for families with young children with a lovely beach and ideal sand for building sand-castles, with the sea having a very gentle slope. Evenings are taken up with mini-golf, browsing the many small shops selling designer fakes, eating and drinking. There is very little in the way of entertainment for the 30+ unless you want to sit and drink all evening. For this age group I think that one week is long enough. The boat trip to Nessebar is a must and well worth the visit, a mixture of everything there, culture, shopping, decent restaurants and of course the beach. In Sunny Beach I can recommend the Carribby Steakhouse and the Old Seaman restaurant next door. There is also a stand near the hotel that does delicious hot baked potatoes with HEINZ baked beans. You also need to be aware of the Beggars these are mainly children with their parents keeping an eye several yards away. Pickpockets also do very well, some of them women pretending to offer them selves for sex, yes a real eye opener. There was also the dancing bear, the snake man who wanted you to have your photograph taken with his snake wrapped around your neck and cradling in your arms a very large chamellion, and another with an alligator. So now I am on my way home, with alot of very like minded people who had also had there holiday blighted by sickness and diarrhoe which had lasted well over a week in most cases. Bourgas departure 'lounge' is the pitts of an airport nothing much in the way of duty free shopping and what is there is priced in EURO'S with no lev alternative. You could pay in any currency but there was nothing to compare the prices with. This resort could have so much more to offer and needs to become a little more up market. I expect this will happen when they join the EU in 2007 and the price increases will reflect this when it happens. As much as I loved the beach and the endless sunshine I will not be going back. Yes No Luisa, Stefan&Filip Pantiru, from Romania | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful Bellevue hotel was the perfect place for us to spend our "only one-week holiday", but we will definitely go back for ...more, much more. We found the room very nice and quiet and comfortable in every way. Plenty of food, for a great variety of tastes and eating habits. The beach is really close, sand and sea were great. In the evening so much entertainment for our 3,6 years-old son! I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice and relatively calm holiay. Was this review helpful to you? THE FOOD WAS VERY NICE & LOT'S FOR THE KID'S TO HAVE. THEY HAD A T.V, IN THE HALL WAY WHERE ALL THE KID'S COULD SIT & WATCH IT. IT WAS GREAT 10/10 Was this review helpful to you? Yes No jackie pearson | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful Just got back from our first trip to bulgaria, stayed at Hotel Bellevue Beach and cannot rate it highly enough. Very clean large rooms with soft white clean towels daily and beds changed daily, maid very nice and helpful. I liked the food but my sister was not so keen, however even she admitted that you could find things you liked every day. Breakfast could do with a bit more variation but you never went hungry at all. All the staff were nice especially the waiters both in dining room and at the bars. Did not like having to pay for sunbeds but at least that meant you could get one. Some people went to other hotels and used their ([+]view more) free ones (even the posh new Victoria Palace beds were free). Drinks everywhere very cheap even in Hotel (unheard of in many places these days). All in all had a really good week and would definitely return. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No kim | 3 out of 3 found this review helpful We spent two weeks at this hotel and found our family room was amazing, two room suite with a sea-view. The rooms/hotel was kept exceptionally clean and we came back from the beach to find towel swans and flowers on our beds most nights. The food needed more variety and the restaurant staff were not as friendly as expected. The Bar/Lounge staff were exceptional and the drink prices were cheaper at the hotel than anywhere else, excellent cocktails. The situation of the hotel was excellent, a small road between hotel and an excellent beach. OK, you had to pay for the sunbeds etc but you wouldn't find anywhere in europe free nowadays. ([+]view more) Lots to see at night, shops, inflatable, bungies ect but got boring after 2/3 nights. Take trips yourself, it works out cheaper and you're not restricted to timetables. Varna is only a bus ride away. Beware taxis, agree price before getting in. Nessebar is a must during the day and night, again only 20 minutes on bus and so cheap! Would definately recommend this hotel also provides an excellent kindergarten during the day and IT'S FREE! Was this review helpful to you? However ! stayed 1 week in bellevue and found it to be excellent, Friendly staff, Rooms were very good and kept clean daily(however could see that having the first floor might not have such a nice view), Food was good but if we'd have stayed longer the options might have become less, Pool was good(had to pay a fee for sunloungers though), Weather was comfortable and sunny, Beach was great & the nightlife was brilliant...In summary: something for everyone at a very affordable rate....woulddefinately go again !!! Well done Bellevue

sandra | 1 out of 1 found this review helpful well what can i say we stayed at the bellevue this july had a fantastic time the hotel was kept lovely and clean the staff were very friendly towards us the food was hot with plenty to choose from the bar staff were great made us feel very welcome the beach is a stones throw away with lovely sand we loved it so much we have already booked for next year Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Paul Stanbridge | 1 out of 1 found this review helpful We have just returned from two weeks in this fantastic hotel and wish to share it with anyone else thinking of booking.
We found the staff to be very helpful and willing, even when the language barrier made communication difficult, they still went out of their way to be of service to us. The food was exceptional, with so many varieties and always fresh and the dining area always well odered. We have come home a little bit heavier as well as suntanned. The hotel was always exceptionally clean, including our room which was also spacious enough for the three of us. Our trip to Instanbul from the hotel was out of this world and we ([+]view more) would recommend it to anyone who enjoys other cultures and some of the oldest buildings and artifacts preserved for all to see.
We have had a wonderful holiday and owe some of this to the hotel and their hard working staff. Thank You, We will be back!

NS | 1 out of 1 found this review helpful I was 3 years in the same hotel and the 1st year it was very good, there were no problems, staff was friendly etc. The 2nd year it was taken over by IFA. But it was still good only the food was a little bit lesser and the restaurant rules were not that strict anymore. The 3th year was the worst of all. Some members of the staff were selling trips. There was fighting between english people. The walls were full of blood. We couldn't sleep because of the to much noises, Some restaurant staffmembers were unfriendly and even ignored us! It's not anymore 4 stars worth according to me. Some 3 star hotels are much better then this one. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Lee Family | 1 out of 1 found this review helpful We stopped at this Hotel for 14 nights this summer having not been to Bulgaria before we were unsure what to expect. This is what we thought of the the hotel Bellevue. Overall the Hotel is kept clean and tidy the rooms are spacious however don't let them fob you of with a first floor room or you will probably find yourself with a view of the hotel roof and ductwork from the air conditioning system. The restaurant needs a lot to be desired and in my opinion the food was disgusting, however there was a large supply of fresh fruit and bread on a daily basis to sustain my hunger. The restaurant itself does not warrant a four star rating, ([+]view more) but a one star if that. The pool area was far to small for the size of the hotels using the facillity and always overcrowded. Staff on the main reception I found ignorant and very unfriendly with a hint of sarcasism in there speach. Top marks to the staff who manned the outside patio/bar area who were very proffesional in there work, and the daily maid service who did an excellent job in making the rooms look like the just arrived feeling every day with the linen displays etc. Was this review helpful to you? Marjoke | 1 out of 1 found this review helpful We stayed in this hotel for 14 days because we booked another one that was not finished. The room are good en kept clean, but i and many other people have the opinion that the staff is very unfriendly and not helpfull. The waiters in the restaurant looked sleazy, dirty trousers etc. The food was very bad, cold and always the same. It took a long time to get a table. The pool is used by 3 other hotels too and it is not clean. The sunbeds were never cleaned. I'am sorry but i am very negative about this hotel. Bad choice! The staff at the reception is mostly rude. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Jim | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful Stayed at the Bellevue from June 16 till June 23. I would recomend this hotel, the rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. The pool area is large and kept clean, but is also very close to the beach. The staff at the pool side bar was very charming and polite. Being from America I had no idea but my experience with Sunny Beach and Bulgaria is what a wonderful place to visit. The people were nice the food was good and the shopping was excellent. I'm trying to plan a trip to Sunny Beach again this next June and will stay at the Bellevue again. silversmet Timothy | 1 out of 1 found this review helpful was in the bellevue from the 4th till the 11th of august.
the food was pretty good but there wasn't much variation. a person from the resaurant staff was selling trips to sozopol while the people were eating and I didn't like that it's very good I think that there is a children's club and an internet room.
last year I stayed there too and then there wasen't an internet room but the food was better and the staff too.

M Hill | 2 out of 2 found this review helpful The Persenk is now up & running as the 4* Bellevue Hotel.
All rooms have been renovated & about 100 new rooms have been added to the building. The Hotel looks nothing like the old Persenk & is now very modern.
We enjoyed our 2 weeks there recently.
