my wife and i have just come back from bulgaria we stayed at the Amfora hotel on an all inclusive 7 night break, the hotel was fine but the food was not it was barely warm let alone hot, what the guests did not eat at lunch we had for our evening meal (thats if you chose to eat it we did not) we should of gone for room only. The toaster was useless it just turned the bread into crisp bread rather toast, please be warned avoid the food at all costs, it is very cheap to eat out, their is no problem with the hotel or the staff they were quite good its just the food put a dampener on our other wise good holiday in bulgaria, just one more point about ([+]view more) the food it was very German orientated which is ok if you are german but we are not, so have a nice stay at the AMFORA BUT STEER WELL CLEAR OF THE FOON regards m t mccluskey 9th october 2007.

hotel clean but allinclusive was very poor no snacks we arrived at ten at night but there was nothing available to eat. bar closed at 11pm on the dot no entertainment at all. so we had to go out to find our entertainment, the food was awful nothing for the english at all. and everything was clap cold, we will not be going b ack there ever viv york.

Amfora hotel is medium, like three star :-) Anyway i did not give another thought!

Nice clean hotel, pool cold but good. Last minute deal booked over internet - enjoyed week in Bulgaria weather fantastic - too hot! Bulgarians very nice great resort with lots to do. Hotel Amfora in good position away from bustle of main resort but accessible by excellent train service which is right outside hotel and beach literally two minutes away. Hotel Amfora however catered for Danish German and Ukranian guests, no entertainment bar staff struggled to cope with all inclusive guests - tried to serve 6 guests at once and failed miserably! Food really geared to foreign guests and not catering for British guests at all. Had to buy dinner on more ([+]view more) than one occasion as nothing palatable or even recognisable! One evening Ukranian guests arrived and proceeded to drink the bar dry - by 10.30 no vodka beer or clean glasses left and bar staff woefully inept to deal with this. Foreign element VERY rude - barging in front, not smiling generally ignorant - Brits beware! Not Brit friendly hotel.
Overall impression Bulgaria great but would not go back to Hotel Amfora.

first off all we booked another hotel. It was overbooked and whe where placed in amfora. Nice hotel. Cleaning very good. Everyday again. personal are polith and friendly day and night. Very relaxing hotel. free bikes to loan. A poor animation team. No energy from these guys. But more them enough animation wioth other guests and near the hotel. Food was different. It was good food but most of the time not hot! That's the only thing. breakfast was good. Lunch and diner like i sead most of the time not hot. Beach 100 meters from hotel. But the beaches are dirty with trash from other tourists. The pool is great. Good admospere and always space. Good ([+]view more) for family's with young children but also for young and older couples. Every night at the terrace great atmosphere with germans, scandinavians, other dutchies and some bulgarians. great hotel. But if you can get it as last minute the price is more worth it then when you are booking in march or so.

Very good hotel,we shall travel next summer again. Everyone at hotels personel was happy and smiling all the time. Special thanks for Villi, Rado, Mira, Miro and the rest of the team whos make our holiday allmost perfect. Rooms cleaners made their job pretty well,and were very friedly. All pool game and shows in evening were something spesial. We will meet again next summer. THANK YOU AMFORA AND BULGARIA

Nice hotel and great if you like a relaxing holiday which is close to the beach. There are a few good shops and restaraunts on the complex as well as a beauty salon. Entertainment and activities is limited. If you like a holiday with a buzz or lots of activities then this is not the best choice. Main shops, activities and nightlife is a train or taxi ride away.

Amfora is very good hotel, and cleaning works very good!
Amfora Shop is cheap and nice shop:)
Hotel is very good, and specially for children-families!
